Chemical peel solution is designed  to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. This procedure will improve skin conditions such as acne, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and alphahydroxy acids (AHAs) are used for this purpose. The precise formula used may be adjusted to meet each patient's needs.

Chemical Peels Description and Prices

Glycolic peel
Glycolic acid, a derivative of sugar cane, has the smallest molecular size of all the alpha hydroxy acids. Its size enables it to most effectively rejuvenate the skin through deep penetration.

Glycolic acid targets, loosens and dissolves the strateum corneum and corneocytes leaving the skin with a smooth, moist, refined, vibrant appearance. The strateum corneum is a glue-like substance that holds the outer layer of our cells together; it is the build-up of the strateum corneum that is responsible for the skin's rough, dry, scaly appearance and brown age or sun spots. Corneocytes are dead skin cells that block follicles in the skin and cause acne. Once the follicles are clear the glycolic acid works to keep them clear and prevent acne from re-occurring.

Glycolic acid continues to benefit the deeper layers of the skin by regenerating the production of collagen and elastin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and scarring.

Esthetique peel
Combines powerful antioxidants and polyphenols to help the skin fight environmental damage.  These treatments will help to minimize surface fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin's texture, help fade brown spots and assist in clearing acne/blemished skin.   The L-retinol content helps to improve skin texture and clarity by encouraging moderate to generous exfoliation following treatment.

Sensi Peel
Originally formulated for extremely sensitive skin types.  The solution contains a blend of lactic acid and trichloroacetic acid (TCA) as well as meadowfoam oil, an essential fatty acid that nourishes the skin and helps to buffer any stinging sensation.  Sensi Peel also contains L-ascorbic acid for strengthening and brightening, while arbutin, kojic and azelaic acids provide anti-acne and anti-bacterial properties to the solution.  Excellent treatment for rosacea.

Ultra Peel I
Specially formulated to treat dehydrated, maturing skin, Ultra Peel I is appropriate for all skin types, conditions and sensitivities.  The formulation will help treat smoker's skin, pigment disorders, sun damaged skin and acne.  Moderate to aggressive exfoliation will be experienced, depending on the number of layers applied.  The final results are dramatic; leaving the skin plump, hydrated and glowing.

Ultra Peel Forte
Especially suited for improving more severe sun damaged, thickened skin or acne scars.  This patented solution combines the technology of medium depth peeling with the art of advanced formulation.   Treatment intervals will be determined by our physician.

PCA Peel with Hydroquinone
This formula is for those who want even skin tone and have no sensitivity to hydroquinone.  It will also help to correct melasma, sun damage and pigment discolorations of any kind.  In addition, this peel will help inhibit active acne and correct post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (skin discoloration) from acne. You may experience mild to moderate exfoliation post treatment.

PCA Peel without Hydroquinone
This peel is ideal for more sensitive skin types, ethnic skin and or those allergic to hydroquinone.  This peel will help to unclog pores, clear acne and rejuvenate the skin.  It is also an excellent choice for maintaining even pigmentation and correcting pigment discolorations for those with hydroquinone sensitivities.

PCA Peel with Hydroquinone & Resorcinol
The most potent PCA Peel formula, PCA Peel with hydroquinone and resorcinol will provide more exfoliation for oilier, thicker and resilient skin types.  It is effective on extremely sun damaged and thickened skin.  It is also excellent for those with active cystic acne and asphyxiated skin (dry on the surface and oily underneath).
